( 1942 ) when Japan is
powerful in Thailand. Japan
solider use Pai for is
transportation route from
Chiang Mai to Burma. This
bridge is the route for
transport the forces and
weapon to Burma like River
Kwai in Kanchanaburi
province. Then World War II
Memorial Bridge become the
building be left over after
the war. Lucky when 3 years
ago has big flood but the
water not destroy this
historial evidence. In the
past this bridge used to use
for communication route of
people until this bridge be
deteriorate affect people
cannot use for cross. Then
has building the new
concrete bridge next to the
original bridge. On World
War II Memorial Bridge, you
can see the tourist is
rafting in Pai river and
high mountain and green rice
field surround the bridge.
